Some weeks ago, Abby Cares Foundation received a heartbreaking call about a young girl who was involved in an accident and sustained a serious hand injury.
She has been receiving treatment since then, but sadly, her condition has not improved. The wound has continued to worsen, with the flesh separating from the affected area.
Now, her case is on our desk.
This coming week, we are going to see her, understand the full situation, and determine how we can support her access to the care she urgently needs.
At Abby Cares Foundation, we believe that where access to healthcare becomes difficult, compassion must become action.
Our work is focused on bringing appropriate healthcare closer to vulnerable people, including facilitating referrals, treatment and follow-up care when cases require support beyond the primary healthcare level.
This is another journey of compassion, hope and humanity.
